The purpose of personnel security is to provide a level of assurance as to the honesty, trustworthiness, maturity , tolerance and loyalty of individuals who access an organisation's resources. It helps the organisations manage the risk of staff exploiting their legitimate access to their premises, information and staff for unauthorized purposes.
